Artist’s Statement
I have always challenged myself to find success from things that are hard and push me outside of my comfort zone to become more than I was yesterday. Fine art photography provides a medium for creative exploration and challenging me artistically. My photos are imagined interpretations of images that emphasize mood, dramatic light and texture leaving the viewer with the sense of feeling, provokes imagination and personal interpretation.
Artist’s BIO
Kathleen Massi is a fine art photographer living on the North Shore of Long Island. She discovered her passion for photography after retiring from a career in the aerospace industry. Massi enjoys all types of digital photography and loves to share her appreciation of the uniqueness and beauty of our surroundings. She hopes that those who view her work, explore, consider and take away something that inspires them to see the world with a fresh eye and new appreciation.
An artist member of both fotofoto gallery in Huntington, NY and Long Island Photo Gallery in Islip, NY, she has exhibited her work on Long Island and NYC including fotofoto gallery, Salmagundi Club in NYC, Alex Ferrone Gallery, Long Island Museum, Islip Art Museum, Art League of Long Island, Huntington Art Center, and the Long Island Photo Gallery. Her images can be found in corporate and private collections across the United States.
