ARTIST STATEMENT – 
Memories are based on our experiences with some being strong and others blurred. My childhood memories seem to be just traces of moments from my past. Perhaps childhood memories represent an intersection where reality and our interpretation of reality cross thus forming those that are strong memories that contribute to our sense of self, history and identity. It is those intersections having strong memories from my childhood that I’ve explored in my series “Traces”. The series intends to convey thought and emotion provoking images with an ethereal, surrealistic, impressionistic and otherworldly aesthetic that are intentionally open to the interpretation of the viewer.
