Allison Rufrano is an accomplished artist living and working on Long Island. Her thought provoking work has been exhibited in exhibitions internationally including in New York, Italy, Russia, China, Korea, and Japan. Her evocative use of light and subject enables Rufrano to tap into the viewers’ perception, creating a personal dialogue between her work and the observer.
Rufrano holds a BA in Fine Art with a Minor in Art History, an MFA in Photography and a MS in Art Education. She is immersed in the exploration of new media and has been instrumental in the development and implementation of innovative program curricula. Professor Rufrano has taught and lectured at many colleges and universities, and presently teaches at Suffolk Community College, Nassau Community College, and Long Island University. She is currently organizing a photography workshop in Italy.
