These photographic prints were created in a traditional wet darkroom where I worked with the energy of light and the beauty of flowers and leaves to create one-of-a-kind images. Each print was made without a camera by using the plants themselves to arrange a composition on light-sensitive Hahnemuhle art paper. Some images were reprinted multiple times to create more subtleties of light and shadow. Many were created with the intention of mixed media enhancements with hand-applied oil paints, meeting my goal of reaching a state of interbeing between photography and painting.
These prints were made as part of my meditative process where breathing and intention to send out good feelings were the foundation of my darkroom process. Hopefully, the result is that each image brings the viewer a moment of beauty that stays with them and brings joy and peace. .
