From Gallery North…
“Gallery North is pleased to present ‘Local Color: Flora and Fauna’, an exhibition which explores the textures and colors of Long Island. Focusing on details of familiar landscapes, with particular attention to animals and plant life, artists will interpret local scenes. The painters and photographers in this exhibit showcase the natural beauty of Long Island’s sea and sky, woods and fields, as well as the animals and beautiful gardens of the area.”
“As in the past, a section of this exhibit will be reserved for the varied work of students from Stony Brook University who are recipients of the Virginia Fuller award on behalf of Gallery North. These students are selected from those who participated in the URECA exhibit at the end of this past semester.”
The exhibit opening is Friday, May 23rd from 5pm – 7pm, running through June 20th. Admission is free and open to the public. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday 10 – 5, and Sunday 12 – 5.
On Sunday, June 1st, Ray Germann will be participating in a gallery talk starting at 3pm. Stop by and hear Ray discuss his work!
