Lois Youmans

Lois Youmans is a native New Yorker, who lives and works on Long Island.  Her photographs have been included in numerous group exhibitions in the USA, Italy, China, and Russia, as well as several solo exhibitions in New York, Italy, and Korea. She is a strong proponent of maintaining a community with other artists, and is a founding member and past president of fotofoto gallery, in Huntington, N.Y.

Ms. Youmans holds an M.F.A. degree from Long Island University and is currently an adjunct professor of photography at several Long Island colleges. She has taught workshops at Peters Valley Craft Center, Layton, N.J. and the Chelsea Center of Muttontown, N.Y. and is currently co-owner of a business that conducts workshops in experimental digital photography processes.
